Nasi Lemak Famous @ Bangsar Telawi

I am sure you know what Nasi Lemak is but if you don't, then let me give you a brief introduction of what this delicacy is all about. It consists of Rice cooked in coconut milk and Pandan leaves served with fried anchovies and peanuts, slices of cucumber, boiled egg and a paste cooked from blended chillies, shrimp paste and onions, with a hint of sugar and "assam jawa". As it is one of my favourites, I always welcome the idea of discovering new versions of it around the city of Kuala Lumpur and wherever else I can find them. And so we went to discover this place, which I have already been to several times for take-away's with my bestie. Located in the suburb of Bangsar, behind the Telawi Police Station (adjacent to Public Bank), it opens at about 7.00pm and closes at around past midnight. I strongly recommend this Nasi Lemak and if you do have a choice of eating there or taking away, please take away, as the aroma with the banana leaf, all packed, makes it all the tastier. Oh and please don't forget the Fried Chicken with Spices!! Enjoy!!
